The consistent further development of our popular AF4XP helicopter - thanks to its inherently stable flight characteristics, the AFX4 R3D is ideal for switching from coaxial to single blade helicopters.
Now with a special feature: At the push of a button, you can also fly easy 3D manoeuvres such as flips and rolls. Once you have reached a safety height of around three meters - indicated on the transmitter by the red status LED flashing - the 3D mode is activated on the transmitter. Briefly steer the direction in which you want to perform the manoeuvre, and the model will now perform a roll or flip on its own. Action-packed flight shows are child's play for beginners.
The integrated 6-axis gyro and the travel limitation of the servos mean that the helicopter can be controlled more precisely and enables very stable hovering. In addition, the AFX4 R3D is self-stabilizing, similar to a coaxial model. The radio remote control has an additional button to bring the helicopter back into a stable starting position (hover mode). The pitch and roll movements (forward/backward, right/left) are regulated by the manufacturer so that they do not pose any major difficulties for a budding pilot. Should a little more power be required, e.g. outdoors in strong winds, a dual rate switch on the transmitter provides more servo travel as support. With a little practice, the single-rotor helicopter can be moved smoothly and quickly and is ideal as a training model for smaller rooms or halls.
The AFX4 R3D single-rotor helicopter is delivered with the standard Mode 2 assignment (throttle left), so that many pilots do not need to change anything else. The model can also be switched to Mode 1 at the push of a button. The flight time varies between 12 and 15 minutes depending on the environment and flight manoeuvre.
3D flight manoeuvres at the push of a button: flips and rolls from a safety height of around 3 meters.
Auto-start and auto-landing: Particularly beginner-friendly when flying a helicopter.
Automatic altitude hold: Simplifies learning individual flight manoeuvres
