AlcoSense is manufactured and designed in the UK and is equipped with patented new features. Which means that the breathalyser is at a level very close to the meters used by the police.
We have added Pro because the breathalyser uses a professional fuel cell sensor of 121 mm², it is identical to its big brother AlcoSense Ultra which is at 200 mm² which is what is used in the police breathalyser in several British, American and European countries. You get unmatched accuracy with Pro for a good price, the accuracy is almost double compared to AlcoSense Elite.
AlcoSense Pro has an advanced sampling system to ensure that only deep lung air (the most accurate part of breathing) is measured. It uses advanced sensors to measure exhalation pressure, flow rate and exhaled volume. The reading takes place when 1 liter of air has exhaled, which ensures that the sample is always as accurate as possible. To improve accuracy, the readings are fine-tuned to the temperature. These sensors also allow the Pro to offer the smart BlowCoach feature.
Most problems, when taking breathalyse, are caused by you blowing too hard, too soft or not long enough - something that with some products this can also cause incorrect results. BlowCoach ™ is a patented technology from AlcoSense that makes it easy to make a perfect measurement every time!
Pro gives you real-time feedback on the screen about how you blow. You should hold the pointer on the upper gauge in the middle and continue to blow until the lower gauge is full.
Each breathalyser has an accuracy tolerance of +/- X.XX of the reading - the lower the number, the more accurate the alcohol tester's measurement. AlcoSense Pro has a smart built-in software to eliminate erroneous reading - ie. instead of having a tolerance of +/- 0.1 ‰ BAC, AlcoSense Pro's tolerance is + 0.10 ‰ BAC, -0.00 ‰ BAC. This means that Pro always reads the result as a little higher, than lower, to be on the safe side - the result is more than twice as accurate as the award-winning AlcoSense Elite.
With a single click, AlcoSense Pro works with any limit, anywhere in the world! Just select the country / region from the menu where you are going to drive and use AlcoSense Pro patent pending technology, which complies with local law. The breathalyser uses the limit and unit of measure that applies where you are and uses blood conversion to enable correct readings of the per mille in either blood alcohol or respiratory alcohol. Should the limit value be changed, the device can be updated through a software download from our support page. Perfect for you as a border commuter and even for travel between continents.
AlcoSense Pro has a full-color 1.8-inch (48 mm) TFT screen that provides clear and detailed readings of your alcohol level. You can choose reading of exhalation or blood (mg / L or µg / 100 ml) or blood (% BAC or ‰ BAC). If you are near or over your chosen limit, Pro will warn you not to drive.
AlcoSense Pro even calculates how long it can take until you are sober and shows it at the same time as the result of your measurement, see picture above and below. Do you want a reminder of when to test again later? No problem, just press the alarm icon and Pro will notify you when it's time for a new test again later.
All breathalysers require recalibration after a period of use. AlcoSense Pro has an industry-leading calibration period of 12 months from the first time you use it. To improve reliability and ease of use, AlcoSense Pro reminds you to recalibrate after 11 months of use.
