Asmodee Cascadia Nordic
Cascadia is a mysterious game of tiles and pieces that revolves around habitats and wildlife in the Pacific Northwest region. In the game, players take turns building their own terrain area and filling it with wildlife. Starting with three hexagonal habitat tiles (with the five types of habitats in the game), on each turn you choose a new habitat tile paired with a wildlife token, then place it next to your other tiles and place the wildlife token on an appropriate habitat (each tile shows 1-3 types of wild animals from the five types in the game, and you can only place one tile on each habitat). There are four tiles on display, each randomly paired with a wildlife token, so you have to make do with what's available - unless you have a nature token to use so that you can choose your choice for each element.Ideally, you want to place habitat tiles to create matching terrain that reduces fragmentation and creates corridors for wildlife because at the end of the game, you score for having largest area of each type of habitat plus bonus if your group is larger than any other player's. At same time, You also want to place animal tokens so as maximize points they score since animal goals are determined randomly by one of four scoring cards for each type of animal. Perhaps hawks want be separated from other hawks while foxes want many different animals around them ,and bears like being in pairs . Can You make it work?
