Electrostatic earbuds are no longer a novelty in that market, but the FX15 is FiiO's first attempt at producing such a product. During the development of the FX15, the R&D team spent a lot of time researching how to best utilize electrostatic drivers. Due to the low sensitivity of such drivers, special care must be taken to ensure that they are not overwhelmed by the other dynamic and BA drivers used. Otherwise, listeners won't be able to experience the unique sound that electrostatic drivers bring to the table.
Supercharged bass with patented S.TURBO design
The sound tube that processes the bass frequencies of the FX15 uses FiiO's patented S.TURBO design. Ingeniously, the frequencies are guided through a tube shaped like a turbine, to increase the bass response. This results in a quick and powerful bass, absent of mush and undefined sound. At the same time, unnecessary frequencies are filtered from the midrange, making the harmony between bass and midrange seamless. Here is power you won't forget!
