With a weight of only 124 g (including 3 x AAA batteries) and comfortable elastic straps, the headlamp is very stable and suitable for hiking, running or mounting on a helmet. The brightness can be easily adjusted with a small gear wheel behind the battery pack. What's unique about this gear wheel is that the adjustment is made based on a small magnetic field generated by the gear wheel itself. The on/off button has been made extra large so that all settings can be performed even while wearing gloves.COAST's patented Pure Beam Focusing Optic System provides superior beam intensity. When you adjust the light from focused beam (Spot) to wide beam (Flood), you won't get dark rings which are typical of flashlights that create focused beams of light.
