Twist up just a few millimetres (the pencil cannot be twisted back down and avoid exposing it to air, which can dry it out).
Draw on your eyes.
Use the sponge at the opposite end to blend the colour until you achieve the desired effect.
Put the cap on tightly so it doesn't dry out.
Can be used alone, or on top of eye shadow.
Remove with your favorite Clinique makeup remover.
