AkvaStabil Dish kit Effect T5D 2 X 80W
Light is essential for both fish and plants. That's why we place high demands on the efficiency and functionality of our basic fittings The Effect-Light basic fitting is probably the most light-efficient on the market. Due to the specially developed reflector, almost all the light from the fluorescent tubes is collected and directed down into the aquarium. The deep positioning of the tubes in the reflector, combined with the special parabolic shape, gives a relatively narrow angle of incidence. This significantly reduces the reflection of light from the water surface and allows even more light to penetrate the aquarium. Effect-Light is therefore particularly suitable for aquariums with light-demanding plants or for very high aquariums where conventional luminaires are unable to send light all the way down to the bottom of the aquarium. Due to the parabolic design and the correct positioning in relation to the fluorescent tube, Effect-Light parabolas reflect almost 100% of the light from the fluorescent tubes. Furthermore, a very large part of the light hits the water surface at an angle of less than 20 degrees, minimizing unwanted reflection from the water surface. From an economic and environmental point of view, Effect-Light luminaires are a very sensible choice. The very high efficiency and thus high light output per watt is an obvious benefit of using Effect-Light. But by investing in a dimmable model, you get additional benefits. The ability to dim and thus adapt the amount of light to the actual need provides significant savings on your electricity bill. For example, dimming a fluorescent lamp down to 50% reduces the power consumption to about the same! And if you turn the light all the way down, the power consumption is minimal. A 54W fluorescent tube only uses around 7-8W when dimmed all the way down. Effect-Line Dimmable basic luminaires are used together with aquarium computers such as the Effect-Line Sunriser. The Sunriser allows you to manually adjust the amount of light, but also creates natural conditions for fish and plants by simulating sunrise and sunset in the aquarium.
